Found this book hard to get through. The plot was good but felt like it dragged on. I’ve heard the sequel is better so may still give that one a chance.

Are you always wanting to know what characters look like, what the rooms hold, and what people are wearing? This is for people who love elaborate description. I prefer to have a little more room for my imagination when I read, otherwise…

Easy and quick mysterious read. This book presents with three separate POVs. Two present day, and one mysterious, creepy, questionably reliable past to present POV. Its cult-y, abusive, and a pulse quickener.
There's an overall dark tone…

So many narrators telling little bits of the story, until the end of the book and all stories merge into one tragic tale. Libby receives a letter on her 25th birthday from English solicitors informing her that she is the owner of a house…

I thoroughly enjoyed this read!
At the start, I found it confusing. Especially Henry's POV. I soon understood the connection between Henery's POV and Libby's POV. I just never realized that Lucy was Henry's sister. Not sure if I missed…

This novel took awhile to grab my attention but I really enjoyed the last two thirds of it. I enjoyed the multiple narrators and slow reveal of what happened. This is a great book for a bowl of popcorn and a rainy day.

Reread this book for my book club - not sure when I first read it - and enjoyed it all over again. Many plot twists that are unexpected. Can't say the characters are well fleshed out but it does not detract from the plot line.

I was surprised by how often I could feel the author moving things around to suit the plot she'd laid out. Actions and events sometimes seemed to be too obviously produced by the author's will rather than by the necessities of the world or…
