This book was disappointing. Living here, we get tonnes of severe snowstorms, so having people snowed in sounded like a good premise for a mystery. But the author probably has never lived in the North. I have never heard of a snow blower stopping when hitting an object. In my experience, they break the cotter pin and stop spinning but the engine still goes. Furthermore, if it's warm enough to snow, it's not so cold that the snow in the doorway would become a solid ice chunk. There was nobody crude or tattooed here either.

Sorry, I know I'm in the minority on this one, but Brewed, Crude, and Tattooed just didn't do it for me, even though I really like the series. The characters are very likeable, even Frank (and I'm not a dog person). The story revolves around a murder that takes place during a horrific snowstorm in which all the tenants of a strip mall are trapped inside -- of course, with one of them possible being the murderer. Sadly lacking in the story was Pavlik. For some reason, the storyline was good, but the details just became too confusing for me to keep straight. On a side not, I never did figure out how the title related to the story, at all. This was my least favorite so far, but I am game to try another.

A quick cozy with a twist--Maggy's family and business situations won't stand still.
