I loved this book about a boy in middle school who finds an angel-like creature in his dilapidated garage. It touches important themes like friendship, hope, family, and awareness of the natural world. A great read for kids (8 and up) and adults.

Mysterious and fascinating. Michael befriends a dried up corpse-like creature that somehow is alive - and somehow is able to help him.

I thought this book was excellent. The writing was beautiful, the storyline intriguing and touching. It has a poetic quality that won't be to everyone's taste...and a slow pace compared to most modern stories. I know it is considered Young Adult or maybe even Children's literature - but as an adult I found it wonderful and put it at the top of my list of recent good reads.

This book was sort of confusing. The novel was written fine, but the storyline was messed up. I didn't get it.
