Alberta is using its considerable financial resources to lure the best scientific minds the world has to offer. They'll be offered $20 million each to conduct research in the province. The Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research is spearheading the project that will be announced today, the richest award of its kind in Canada. Foundation head Kevin Keough tells the Globe and Mail that Alberta is looking for the very best of international-calibre researchers; Harvey Weingarten.
