This is a truly timeless classic that needs to be preserved for posterity. Kids of all generations need to be exposed to more of this kind of programming. I grew up with the album, the book, and the video in the 70s, and I greatly appreciated them back then. I love and appreciate them even more now as an adult. My local branch of KCLS had a copy of the book, my school had a copy of the video, and I had a vinyl copy of the album when I was ten. I'm immensely gratified that all three of them have survived into the 21st Century, and that the album and the video are available on CD and DVD, respectively.

Heartwarming, fun and more timely than ever.

If I were seeing Free to Be You and Me for the first time now, I wouldn't like it as much, but if you grew up with the songs like I did, watching it is a nice trip down memory lane.

I watched this show when I was a kid in the Seventies, and I didn't think I could love it more. But watching the video with my daughter made it even more special! Lots of songs to celebrate and sing along together. Highly recommended for kids and their caregivers.
