Barbra Streisand (the girl next door who made good) is the yang to Woody Allen's ying. She should be his mother. Movie starts slow. The acting is totally credible, as is the plot. We get to know the characters slowly. They have got some good points and some not so good. The turning point comes very naturally. After that the viewing pleasure meter starts rising. The theme is that we are all incomplete and need one another, whether we know it or not. And sometimes we get stuck in the past. You finish the film, feeling that you spent some time with a real family. They are nice folks. Meh!
