An Epic History of the Tower of London

For me this is a gem, so much so that I've bought the e-book with the ability to take my time. In just the first 30 pages my jaw dropped, little exclamations came forth. Yes, it probably helps if one is interested in history or wants to be transported to another time. There are little bits of trivia one might never hear in a uni lecture hall & only come upon by reading multiple books. How would I ever have learned that James I was such a deviant - few books go there. Other pearls await my discovery. It's mind boggling the consider 10,000 bodies in one plague pit within view of the Tower, with another 42,000 just within a mile further on. All this happened in a 5 year time span. The disruption/redistribution of land mass is tremendous. I'm going back to the tower bridge just to consider it.
