I just could not finish ‘Someone Knows’. Adults who write about young adults shouldn't try so hard to make it sound like they are trying so hard. Just like with ‘After Anna’ the dialog and the narrative are both stilted and juvenile. None of the characters I met before I quit were likeable. As I felt with ‘After Anna’, I was willing to read ‘Someone Knows’ because I'm a huge fan of Scottoline, but there is a growing pattern here.’ One Perfect Lie’ received a generous 4 stars from me, even though in my review I said, "There was no cohesiveness and it was too clever by half". ‘After Anna’ only earned 3 stars and now ‘Someone Knows’ is down to two. I'm having a hard time understanding why Lisa Scottoline has been striking out with these last few non-series fiction books. I've read 32 of her books. I have enjoyed every Rosato & Dinunzio and always look forward to the non-fiction she pens with her daughter. I think before I attempt to read Lisa Scottoline's next stand alone novel, I will re-read my reviews (and yours) of her previous ones..
