As Tolstoy said, “All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way”. Sylvie and Paul are not coping well after the still born death of their daughter. After Paul breaks his ankle and is prescribed oxycontin, Sylvie in desperation, dips into his unused supply of pills and life become bearable again…until it doesn’t. A realistic and gripping look at middle class addiction, and how quickly it can happen. Could not put this book down, highly recommend!
