There are three time periods covered in this book. Author or editor decided to "keep it lively" by throwing the chapters into the air and then putting the book together based upon where the chapters fell. So confusing that at the start of each chapter there is a time line showing which time period you are in PLUS a chapter title to let you know the date and whose perspective you will be in. Could have been a wonderful book, but I am left annoyed and frustrated despite multiple college degrees in Literature, Rhetoric, Education, and English. Still, I'd say it is worth giving it a shot if you are the kind of person who can watch a three-season TV series out of order and not care.
